Sustainable Green Design

Jay Jarvis has been honored as trail blazer in green construction. In the early
1990's, he partnered with Pacific Gas & Energy in Northern California to build some of the earliest green communities in the nation.
He was a founding member of the Green Building Council, St. Louis Chapter. In June 2005, the Healthy Planet newspaper cover story featured our construction of home in Webster Groves, one of the first totally green residences in the region.
We will discuss opportunities for sustainable design and its potential payback. Our philosophy is a tight envelope with 2 x 6 exterior framing, cellulose insulation and low e-glass windows. We recommend green products such as low or no VOC paint, bamboo, cork and other sustainable products.
Our handcrafted, custom cabinets have no formaldehyde.
